Update HTC Desire with Jelly Bean based AOKP Custom ROM

Once upon a time, HTC Desire was the most popular Android phone available in the market. But now, it is quiet old & therefore it has been dropped out by HTC from software upgrading support. But you need not to be worried, as custom ROMs are there for you to provide taste of latest Android version on your HTC Desire. Thanks to developers (custom ROM makers) for paying continuous attention in ROM development for HTC Desire, which is resulted in another Jelly Bean 4.1 based custom ROM : AOKP to come out for it. Courtesy to XDA Senior Member  for putting his efforts in making AOKP ROM for the same.
AOKP is based on latest Android 4.1 Jelly bean, which offers lots of customizable functionality along with the features of Jelly Bean. That’s why,  it is getting more popular amongst the other custom ROMs available for the same. However, AOKP ROM is under development and features like USB Tethering & Video recording aren’t working yet properly. But if you are comfortable to go ahead with it then this might be the best ROM for you.

  • Ensure that you have a custom recovery like clockworkmod installed on your phone
