Compatibility:
This article is compatible only and only with Galaxy Grand Duos model number GT-I9082/I9082L. So don’t even think of flashing if you’re having another device except the one mentioned as your device may get bricked or may result into unwanted outcomes. You mustcheck your device’s model number in Settings -> About Phone.
Pre-Requisites:
- You must enable the USB Debugging in your device so as to connect your device to PC by following the path given below:
- Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB Debugging
- Make sure that your device is charged at least up to 80% so that it won’t get turn off during the process.
- Also we highly recommend you to backup all your Phone data and settings including contacts, SMS/MMS and call logs etc. before following the given article. You must also note down the internet APNs from Settings-> Wireless and Network -> Mobile Network -> Access Point Names. So that in case you face any trouble during the process your data will be safe and protected.
- You must take a backup of ‘EFS’ folder which contains your phone’s IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number. It is highly recommended as in case if this folder gets wiped by mistake then your device will not get the network signal which will result in problems for making or receiving calls. So just copy that folder from the root location of your phones internal partition to your external memory card. (Note: For copying this folder your device must have Root Access).
- You must temporary disable all the security tools as well as Antivirus Installed on your Computer as they might interrupt the process.
- You must have custom recovery like CWM installed in your device in order to flash XPERIAZ Custom ROM. If you haven’t installed it yet, follow this guide for the same.
Procedure to Update Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos GT-I9082 with XPERIAZ Custom ROM:
- Download the XPERIAZ CUSTOM ROM from the given link below:
- Click Here to Download (Official ROM Development page)
- Download the Google Apps from the given link below:
- After downloading, connect your device to the PC, enable mass storage mode and transfer these files in the memory card. Ensure that you are not placing them in the deep directories.
- Once this is done switch off your device and enter into the recovery mode. Recovery mode can be entered by holding Volume Up + Home Button (middle button) + Power Buttonsimultaneously until the recovery mode appears. (In Recovery mode use Volume Up and Down key for Navigation and Home Button for Selection).
- It is necessary to make a nandroid backup of your current ROM so that it can be restored back in case of failure. To do so, highlight ‘backup and restore’ option in the recovery menu, select it and then choose ‘backup’ to start the backup process.
- Now Select ‘wipe data/factory reset’ and ‘wipe cache partition’ to wipe the data and catches respectively from the phone memory.
- Select ‘install zip from SD card’ & then ‘choose zip from SD card’. It will show all your folders and files on SD card. Now simply select the XPERIAZ CUSTOM ROM which you have just downloaded and confirm the installation by pressing ‘Yes’.
- ROM installation process will complete in just a few minutes. Now as soon as XPERIA Z CUSTOM ROM gets flashed, again select ‘wipe data/factory reset’ followed by ‘wipe cache partition’
- Now, follow the same above procedure for flashing Google Apps.
- Restart your device by pressing ‘reboot system now’ from the Recovery mode itself.
- The new ROM will take more time than usual to restart.
Note: If you want to restore back your previous Rom you can do that by simply going back to the Recovery mode and select ‘Backup and Restore’ option and then on next screen select ‘Restore’

How to Increase Internal Memory of Your Android Phone using CWM Recovery
Old Android phones have internal memory around 200 to 300 MB (Mega Bytes) unlike the latest one which have in few GB (Giga Bytes). Due to this limited memory, you cannot install more apps. This problem can be overcome by increasing internal memory of your mobile.
By partitioning external memory card of mobile, you can use it as an internal memory. With the help of link2SD app and memory card partition, you can increase internal memory as per your requirement. Different methods are available for partitioning memory card. But the most reliable method is CWM method as it works for any mobile or memory card.
Pre-requisites:
- First of all your mobile must be charged at least up to 70% so that there will not be any interruption during memory card partition.
- You must take a backup of memory card on your computer as all the data on the card gets erased during installation.
- Your mobile/tablet must be rooted.
- Install Link2SD app on the device from the play store.
- Clockworkmod recovery must be installed on your mobile/tablet.
- First switch off your mobile and boot into recovery mode by any method or using appropriate key combination.
- As we know that touch doesn’t work in most of the CWM, use volume keys for navigation and use power or home button for selection.
- Select advanced option.
- Then go to partition sdcard.
- Select ext size. (Note: It should be less than your memory card size.)
- It will take few minutes for partitioning SDcard.
- After successful partitioning of sdcard select +++++go back+++++ then reboot system now.
- Download and install latest version of Link2SD app from the play store.
- Grant superuser permission for this app.
- After granting superuser permission it will ask to choose file system of your second partition.
- Select ext2 format.
- After confirming the file system, it will ask to restart your phone. Do it.
- After restarting phone, open Link2SD app again. Select filter option and the on internal.
- You will see all the apps from internal memory.
- Select options-> multi select. Select the apps that you want to move on that internal memory.
- Choose action and then create link. Select all 3 options i.e. Link application file, Link dalvik cache file, Link library files. Then ok.
- It will take few minutes for creating link to this partition.
- Finally select ok. Now your all apps are moved to this partition.
- Now in order to link every new app that you will download to this partition, select options and then auto link.
- Now henceforth whenever you download app from the play store, it will get saved in this partition.

Update HTC Desire with Jelly Bean based AOKP Custom ROM
AOKP is based on latest Android 4.1 Jelly bean, which offers lots of customizable functionality along with the features of Jelly Bean. That’s why, it is getting more popular amongst the other custom ROMs available for the same. However, AOKP ROM is under development and features like USB Tethering & Video recording aren’t working yet properly. But if you are comfortable to go ahead with it then this might be the best ROM for you.
Disclaimer: The steps given in this article are considered to be risky & can cause damage to your device. You should not try to attempt these things if you aren’t aware of it. Please follow this guide completely at your own risk. If any damage happened to your device, we won’t be held liable for it.
Pre-Requisites before installing a Custom ROM :
- Charge your device up to 70% battery level so that installation procedure won’t be interrupted.
- After applying this update, you are going to erase all the data stored on phone memory. Therefore, it is highly recommended to backup all your data from the same, which includes contacts, messages (SMS/MMS), call logs, Internet APNs etc.
- Ensure that you have a custom recovery like clockworkmod installed on your phone
- Download latest version of AOKP ROM from official ROM development page (link is mentioned below) :
- Download Google Apps (Gmail, Maps, GTalk, Play Store etc.) which need to be flashed manually since they are not present in the ROM by default.
- After downloading ROM package & Google Apps, connect your phone to the PC. Enable mass storage mode to access SD card data & transfer both the files on it.
- Disconnect the phone from computer & boot in recovery mode. For getting into the recovery mode, switch off the device, press & hold Volume Down button + Power key. You’ll be landed in bootloader/HBOOT mode. Now highlight recovery option using volume up/down keys & select it using power button.
- After getting into CWM recovery, first & very essential step you need to do is take a nandroid backup of your current ROM so that it can be restored back (in case if anything goes wrong). To back up your current ROM, select Backup and Restore option from the recovery menu & on next screen, select backup. Now It will make a nandroid backup of whole system (excluding SD card). Wait for the backup process to get finished.
- Select wipe data/factory reset & wipe cache partition to wipe all the data & caches respectively from the phone memory.
- Now Select “install zip from sdcard” & then “choose zip from sdcard“. Select the ROM file from the location where you’ve transferred it earlier & press on Yes to flash the ROM.
- Wait for the ROM to get installed. After ROM gets successfully installed, your phone will land in the recovery mode.
- Again select “install zip from sdcard” followed by “choose zip from sdcard” & this time navigate Google apps package file (gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip). Press on Yes to install Google Apps.
- After flashing both the files, Select reboot system now to Restart the phone.
Tip: In case if you want to revert back to your previous ROM , enter into recovery mode (mentioned above). From the main menu, select Backup and Restore option & on next screen, select restore & choose the backup you would like to restore.

Today our tutorial How to Update Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi GT-P7510 with Official Android ICS 4.0.4UELPL Firmware. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was neglected by Samsung for few months as there were lots of launch and Samsung has lined up new series of Galaxy Tab 2 and Note 10.1. Samsung has recently released the latest Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for Galaxy Tab 10.1. If you have rooted your Galaxy Tab then this procedure will unroot your Galaxy Tab. Android ICS 4.0.4 IMM76D.UELPL baseband build number for Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a fully fledged ICS firmware with lots of add-ons and loaded with new apps like eBook reader, galaxy s3 like weather widgets.
Samsung has tried to address all bugs in the previous 3.2 honeycomb firmware and now the ICS is much more stable, very smooth scrolling and working fine. 3. Check for your device battery, it should to charge to at least 70%. Just ensure that your Galaxy Tab should not turn off during the installation process otherwise it will face problem in starting for next time.
4. Make sure that the USB Debugging option is enabled on your Galaxy Tab 10.1 through that path ‘Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging’.
5. Download and install compatible USB device drivers for Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi GT-P7510 in the PC from here.
Steps and Procedure Update Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi P7510 to ICS 4.0.4 Official Firmware:
1. Download the Official ICS 4.0 UELPL Firmware Package zip file from here to your Computer. File name was P7510UELPL_P7510XABLPL_XAB.zip and size will be 419 MB.
2. After the completion of the download you need to extract the package then you will get 'P7510XABLPL_P7510UELPL_HOME.tar.md5' file.
3. Download Odin3-v 1.85 flash tool from here to your PC. Extract the Odin package then you get odin3-v 1.85.exe inside the folder.
4. Double click to launch the odin3-v 1.85.exe application on your Computer.
5. It's'time to switch off your Tab to enter into download mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Power buttons together simultaneously until the download mode appears on the screen.
6. After entering in the download mode, you need to connect your Tab to the Computer via USB data cable when Odin is opened in your Computer. On connecting the device, the ID: COM section will turns Yellow in colour which means the connection has been made successfully.
7. Now click on ‘PDA’ and select ‘P7510XABLPL_P7510UELPL_HOME.tar.md5’ file which you have got from the extracted folder in step 2.
8. After selecting the file, click on ‘Start’ button in Odin to start flashing the firmware update. The process will take around 6-7 minutes to complete the update.
9. When the update is complete the device will reboot automatically and you will see a green color Pass message in Odin. Once you see the home screen on your display disconnect your device from the Computer.
Note: If your device will face a boot loop sequence or even stuck in welcome screen then you need to remove the battery and reinstall the same.
10. Reboot your device in recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Up + Power button. In recovery mode, you need to select 'wipe data / factory reset' and then 'wipe cache partition' to clear cache from your device. Confirm the wiping process by selecting ‘Yes’ on the next screen. The below picture is just provided to give you some idea how it will actually look on your tab.
11. Select Go Back option from main menu and then select ‘reboot system now’ option to restart your Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi P7510.
After restarting the device, no longer you will face any loop problem.

Today our tutorial How to Root HTC Evo 4G LTE Unlock bootloader and install clockworkmod cwm touch recovery on Android 4.0 ICS firmware build versions 1.22.651.1 and 2.13.651.1. HTC Evo 4G LTE was announced by Sprint in March 2012 has already created a huge customer base in United States. One of the most sold phone on Sprint network, featuring a 1 Ghz Scorpion processor with Adreno 200 GPU which makes it very comparable to Nexus S 4G. Recently the device got official Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich ICS update from HTC. Now you can root, install clockworkmod recovery and install Android ICS based custom ROM’s. On this tutorial we are providing detail procedure to root HTC Evo 4G easily with the help of simple rooting tool. This guide has been taken from the XDA developer WIKI and all thanks to them.
Pre-Requisite:
1. To proceed with this process you need to create the backup of your complete HTC Evo 4G. We will be providing you with list of few files and data which may help you to create the backup - Call Logs,Contacts, Audios, Videos, Images, Bookmarks, SMS, APN (Access Point Names) settings and MMS settings etc.
2. Put your device in charge to at least 70% or more because less than this limit may result in interruption due to serious power issue.
3. You should also disable and uninstall the antivirus or firmware from your Computer and HTC device to avoid interruption during the process.
4. If you using Google wallet then you must reset it. Go the app select Menu > Settings > Reset Google Wallet.
5. Enabled the USB Debugging option on your phone. For enabling it, you have to follow the path – Menu > Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging.
6. First make sure that you have proper USB driver for your HTC Evo 4G LTE device. If not, then download the driver for windows from here.
7. For this below process Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0 is required download it here.
Steps and Procedure to Root HTC Evo 4G LTE
1. Download RegawMOD Evo 4G LTE Rooter.exe file package from here to PC.
2. Now connect the device to PC with USB debugging mode.
3. Run the downloaded application RegawMOD EVO 4G LTE Rooter.exe in the PC. A window will be opened with phone image.
4. Move the mouse cursor towards Root me and click it to start the process. 5. Your phone will be rebooted and boot into the bootloader. Here you will get pop up window and show message HtcDev is automated and submits you’re token. Click Ok to proceed to further step in the process.
6. Once token is arrived from htcdev. In the device you will get message like Unlock bootloader. Select Yes (for selecting the yes you can use volume buttons for navigation) to confirm the unlocking (press the power button in the device). Note: Unlocking Bootloader will erase all your data in the device.
7. The phone will be rebooted and skip the setup process in the device. Go to settings->developer options-> check the USB debugging. 8. Couple of reboots will be done. So be patience it will going to root the device and flash the twrp.
9. A message will appear in the PC shows Rooting is now complete! You may now unplug the EVO. Click OK to proceed next step.
10. Finally the device will booted into normal Android OS. Go the apps list there you can see aSuperSU application.
11. If you want to confirm, whether you’re HTC Evo 4G is rooted successfully or not, you need to download the Root Checker from Google Play Store.
